St Andrew’s Church Website

Our client

St Andrew’s Church is a beautiful, historic church in Castle Combe, Wiltshire. The church itself has a very rich history, as does the Village of Castle Combe. The village and church experience a lot of visitors from the UK and abroad.

The brief

The PCC were wanting a website that represented represented the church as well as the village and community.

It was important to them that the website conveyed all that was going in on the Church from services and news to coffee mornings and celebrations as well as show casing the beauty and friendly feel of the village.

The process

First things first, the PCC at St Andrew’s were keen to create a logo. For this I engaged the services of Jon Newton Design.

Jon is a talented Graphic Designer who I have worked with many times over the years.

After establishing what the team at St Andrew’s liked and didn’t like. I worked with Jon to ensure he had all he needed to work his magic. Jon identified the beautiful rose window in St Andrew’s and it became the inspiration for the logo.

Jon also created a strong, vibrant yet warm and friendly colour palette that I was able to carry throughout the website.

Castle Combe and St Andrew’s benefit greatly from visitors. The village is a destination for a variety of reasons, one of them being the Church and also as the village and church have appeared on screen. I was keen to encompass the holiday vibe so created the images on the home page to have a postcard feel.

It was also important to the church that they be able to update news and events as well as servcie times on the website.

The end result

We delivered a professional website that accurately reflects the beautiful, historic church of St Andrew’s Castle Combe as well as having a warm and friendly feel and allowing the community to share all this is special about Castle Combe. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with St Andrew’s PCC to deliver their website.
